David Millward - also known as - Milky. I've been involved in the music industry for many years and in various capacities, starting out as would be pop star and naturally graduating to Live Sound via home and studio recording and a mixture of luck and possibly fate.

Turning freelance around 1989, I was previously employed by Tourtech PA Hire, where in the early days, my Class 1 HGV licence and the ability to drive a VW van stuffed with PA and backline from one end of Germany to the other and back, seemingly everyday for months on end, did not go unrewarded.

These days I tend to mix FOH almost exclusively, although my experience as a System Tech or Babysitter and of mixing Monitors, has given me a complete understanding of the important relationship between everyone involved in a production, and how a calm and positive approach from all of the crew helps put an artist at ease, giving them the added confidence to perform to their highest abilities.

I have good working knowledge of most audio equipment to be found in current use, and some pieces that fortunately get seen very rarely these days, and I'm particularly interested in the advancement of MIDI and Digital technology within the Live Sound environment.
